Corvinus colleague co-chairs the professional organization of the world’s best business schools

PIM is a prestigious higher education network for business schools, focusing on student exchange, joint degrees and other collaborative programs, which is led by a three-member board of chairs, each one representing a large geographical area. This year marked the three-year renewal of the position of Chair of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, which was decided at the annual conference in Santiago, Chile at the end of October. Three candidates applied for the position, and Péter Fehér, international leader of Corvinus, won the most votes among the entire membership of PIM, ahead of the representatives of Erasmus University Rotterdam and Warwick Business School.  

Thanks to this, our colleague has been elected to the board of chairs of the network, where his partners are Seen Meng Chew (from the Chinese University of Hong Kong), representing the Asia-Pacific Ocean until 2025, and Alex Markman (from Universidad Torcuato di Tella, Argentina), who will lead the Americas region until 2026. The Chairs are responsible for setting and implementing certain strategies suggested by the members during the Annual Meeting, managing the budget, deciding on the structure and content of the Annual Conference, and addressing the major issues of the association. 

As a consequence of the election, Corvinus will have the opportunity to organize a conference together with the Warsaw School of Economics next October, which is a great opportunity to present our university to this prestigious international community,

said Péter Fehér who has represented Corvinus in PIM since 2014 and participated in the operation of the committee deciding on new members.

He added:

in three years exchange average Corvinus received 335 incoming students, and sent 374 outgoing ones in this network.

Partnership in International Management is a consortium of the best business schools in the world, founded more than 50 years ago by HEC Paris, New York University and London Business School, currently they have 67 members, only Corvinus from Hungary. In addition to reputation, the strict condition of accession is that the applicant institution has one of the three prestigious international accreditations: AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS. Currently, about a third of members hold all three certifications, called triple crown. An indication of the strength of the network is that, despite the international accreditations and rankings, joining to the network is by invitation only, with a majority vote of the network members.
