The award ceremony for the ‘Best thesis in digital marketing in 2023’ prize organized by IAB Hungary took place on Friday, March 22 at the premises of Hungarian media sales house Atmedia. The award for the best MSc-level thesis was received by Diána Nagy (Corvinus University of Budapest, Marketing MSc program) for her thesis entitled ‘The cute stars of the internet – The trend of petfluencer pet owners’ (thesis supervisor: Dr. Tamás Viktor Csordás, Department of Marketing and Design Communications).
IAB Hungary’s ‘Best thesis in digital marketing’ competition in 2023 marked by topics on the impact of social media on self-evaluation and the petfluencer phenomenon
On March 22, digital advertising trade body IAB Hungary held the award ceremony for the winners of the ‘Best Thesis in Digital Marketing in 2023’ competition. This year, one student from Szeged and one from Budapest won the award for the best thesis. Eight of the 26 entries were selected as finalists. The jury selected the following theses as the best of 2023:
BA-level: ‘The impact of visual social media content on body image and satisfaction – Results from an eye-tracking study among young women’ by Dorottya Noémi Dér (University of Szeged, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Commerce and Marketing BA program) (thesis supervisor: Sándor Huszár)
MSc-level: ‘The cute stars of the internet – The trend of petfluencer pet owners’ by Diána Nagy (Corvinus University of Budapest, Marketing MSc program) (thesis supervisor: Dr. Tamás Viktor Csordás, Corvinus University of Budapest, Department of Marketing and Design Communications)
