Corvinus on the mission to support student entrepreneurs

Along with other prizes that Perun, a startup team from University of Belgrade has received for winning 1st place at the Danube Cup 2021 Pitch Competition, a special prize was offered from CUB: a 1on1 masterclass, with Dr. Anthony Radev, President of Corvinus University of Budapest who has a two-decade-long McKinsey history to assist them with his expert advice and extensive experience in the business strategy and leadership fields.

 
Perun is developing a portable DNA sequencing device, in MVP phase (Minimum Viable Product), with an already available beta version. The technology behind has “destructive innovation potential” as President Radev stated. The MVP, and a prototype in the next step, will give Perun the opportunity to test the product. However, Perun will need to strengthen their business side, for exploiting the full potential in their deep-tech innovation.

Danube Cup was born after Corvinus and BME have joined forces to help improve the international success rate of new ventures by bringing together the most motivated student startuppers from universities along the Danube. The competition aligns with Corvinus’s vision to build up its relations internationally.
