The participating over 300 research groups came from top universities including Cambridge, Bocconi and Cornell committed to innovative solutions addressing social issues.

During the event the Best Conference Paper Award was given to Corvinus PhD student Sára Forgács-Fábián, who has been assisted by Professor Sándor Takács, head of the Department of Organisational Behaviour.  Their research focused on changes in volunteer motivation as a result of money introduced as an external factor.

‘I hugely enjoyed listening to these prominent researchers and fellow PhD students in the heart of Milan, presenting their latest researches and theories on various subjects as the product of several months or years of work contributing to our shared knowledge. It’s great that even Hungarian universities can provide excellence recognised by world-class academics’

said Sára Forgács-Fábián. They will carry on researching in the hope that the next two years of doctoral studies will yield some results capable to improve the civil sector at national or even international level.
