Corvinus PhD Student Wins Prestigious Dissertation Award

Highlights from the 18th EACES Conference 2024: Doctoral Award Ceremony

We are proud to announce that Denis Ivanov, a PhD student and current Assistant Professor at Corvinus University, has won the prestigious Best Dissertation in Comparative Economic Systems prize awarded by the European Association for Comparative Economic Studies (EACES).

Denis Ivanov received this honour for his outstanding thesis, “The Political Consequences of Socio-Economic Inequality”, which was recognized as the best doctoral dissertation for the years 2022 and 2023. The award committee comprised esteemed members David Kemme, Hartmut Lehmann, and Norberto Pignatti.

The award ceremony took place on September 13th, 2024, and was chaired by Norberto Pignatti, who announced the winner and introduced Denis Ivanov’s presentation.
