This year, Corvinus University of Budapest has been awarded in the category “Employability – Performance Improvement” by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). According to the QS, This award acknowledges the university’s significant strides in ensuring high employability for their graduates while nurturing future leaders who make substantial impacts in their respective fields. The award was presented on 11 July at QS European High Ed Summit 2024 in Sitges, near Barcelona, and was accepted by Peter Fehér, International Head of Corvinus.

This award is the result of a joint effort that my colleagues at the university are constantly working for, namely to ensure that Corvinus educates young graduates with marketable knowledge, motivated, ready to work and develop. I am proud that our achievements have been recognised internationally by one of the world’s leading professional bodies in higher education,

– said Péter Fehér.

The labour market proves that we are on the right track: according to the data of the Hungariam Education Office, the salary advantage of Corvinus students is outstanding, they earn on average 207 thousand HUF more than the average of all graduates of all economic education courses who have received a bachelor’s degree nine years ago, which makes the average gross salary of Corvinus students the highest in the country

said Richárd Szántó, Dean of Corvinus responsible for undergraduate studies.

Among the master’s degrees, graduates from Corvinus can also earn the most, on average up to HUF 160-180 thousand more than graduates from similar master’s degrees in other Hungarian countries. According to the latest data from the Education Office for 2023, the average salary of a finance graduate who has been at Corvinus for nine years is HUF 1.1 million per month.

Two-thirds of Corvinus graduates are already in work during their studies, and with a fresh Corvinus degree you can be in a job in less than a month. With a Corvinus degree in Economics, you can earn up to 140% more than an average economics graduate.

The fact that it is indeed easy to find a good job quickly with a Corvinus degree is reflected in the latest Financial Times 2023 ranking, with Corvinus’ Master’s in Management and Leadership ranking 17th in the world in terms of value for money. It also found that 99 percent of graduates with this degree were in employment within three months, and that two-thirds of those graduating in 2020 increased their earnings in the two to three years after graduation.
