The Corvinus Research Excellence award, inaugurated in 2021, is designed to establish a new tradition at Corvinus University. 52 valid applications were submitted for the CKK-21 call and the evaluation was a multi-stage process. Once the CKK scores had been calculated in accordance with the call for applications, an international Evaluation Committee reviewed the applications. This two-stage evaluation process, which took several aspects into consideration, ensures that the results are well-grounded.

The international Evaluation Committee members were Professor Dr Bart MacCarthy, Professor Dr Tamás Magyarics, Professor Dr Gabor Virag, and it was chaired by Professor Dr Gyula Vastag.

During the award ceremony the assessment criteria used by the Committee will be presented to the audience and attention will be drawn to those research results of CUB Faculty which the Committee consideres noteworthy at an international level.

The award categories are the following:

(1) PhD Student

(2) Early Career Faculty

(3) Senior Faculty

The successful applicants receive cash prizes the total amount of which reaches 80 million Forints.
