Tibor Illés, lecturer of the Department of Operations Research and Actuarial Sciences, Head of Corvinus Centre for Operations Research has become a new member of the reformed Editorial Board of the Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications (JOTA).
The Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications is a Q1 journal that publishes carefully selected papers covering mathematical optimization techniques and their applications to science, industry and economics. Typical theoretical areas in the journal include linear and nonlinear optimization, programming, mathematical economics, mathematical physics and biology, and aerospace, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering requiring optimization methods. Recent, emerging, and novel areas of optimization, such as artificial intelligence and quantum computing optimization are encouraged.
Tibor Illés is the fourth Hungarian on the journal’s Editorial Board along with Sándor Kristály (Babeş-Bolyai University), Sándor Z. Németh (University of Birmingham) and Tamás Terlaky (Lehigh University).
