DSG certificate award ceremony at the residence of the German Ambassador, Julia Gross

The 28th graduation ceremony of the German-language programme in Management of the Corvinus University took place, where 33 students received their diplomas.

On 13 November, German Ambassador Julia Gross congratulated the graduates in her residence: “You have become representatives and shapers of the current and future cultural, scientific, economic and political relations between our two countries”. 

For more than 30 years, Corvinus University has been cooperating with the University of Passau in offering a German language programme in Management. Over the past 31 years, more than 2000 students have taken part in German-language management courses. More than 800 of them obtained a certificate or even a German-Hungarian double degree. 

Ambassador Gross stressed in her speech that the DSG programme is an excellent example of the traditionally good and committed scientific relations between Germany and Hungary. 

The members of the Diploma Award Committee were: 

  • H.E. Julia Gross, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Hungary 
  • Prof. Ágnes Zsóka, former Vice-Rector of the Corvinus University of Budapest 
  • Prof. Niklas Wagner, Programme Director at the University of Passau 
  • Dr. Loretta Huszák, Programme Director at the Corvinus University of Budapest 

The event was attended by members of the DSG advisory board: Markus Hilken, SAP Hungary CEO, Prof. Robert Obermaier, former Vice-President for Research of the University of Passau and Prof. Stefan Okruch, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Students at Andrássy University Budapest.  

The speech on behalf of the fresh graduates was delivered by valedictorian Viktória Csibi.
