A strategic partnership between Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the world’s leading higher education analyst and rankings agency, and Ministry of Culture and Innovation has been established, as part of which Corvinus - among other universities in Hungary - will be supported with consulting and training services to help the university increase its international competitiveness.

The Ministry of Culture and Innovation and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) have signed a long-term strategic partnership to strengthen higher education in Hungary, with the participation of 11 Hungarian universities that are among the world leaders in their fields, including Corvinus. The primary objective of the partnership is to increase the number of Hungarian universities ranked in leading global higher education rankings.

As part of the agreement, QS will work closely with the selected Hungarian universities, providing them with professional and strategic guidance and leadership training based on global higher education best practices.

“This is an exceptional opportunity to enhance the international reputation of the university. QS has valuable data and international best practices from the world’s leading universities, which we hope will help Corvinus to advance in the leading global higher education rankings,” says Péter Fehér, Head of International Relations and Accreditations, who has already started discussions with QS experts.

He also mentioned that as a first step, the development of strategy, research and the development of international relations were the objectives of the cooperation with QS consultants for the period until the end of December. As part of this process, QS experts will review the university’s strategy and make recommendations for possible fine-tuning, as well as identify the directions of improvement needed to advance in the international rankings.

“In the coming months, QS experts will be with us mainly in an advisory role, and by the end of the year they will also hold five workshops for the management of the university in the areas identified for improvement,” added Péter Fehér.
