A new Horizon funded research project named RADAR (Renewing Administration through Democratic Anchorage Reforms) was kicked off last week in Leuven, Belgium. The project aims to enhance the democratic governance of public services and public administrations, and to enhance their legitimacy.

Participating institutions include, among other renowned ones, the European University Institute’s  Florence School of Transnational Governance, KU Leuven’s Public Governance Institute, and the Hertie School. The research consortium is led by Radboud University Institute for Management Research. Prof. György Hajnal, head of the Department of Public Policy, took part in the research project as the chair of one of the participating organizations, EAPAA (European Association for Public Administration Accreditation).

As the project explicitly aims at incorporating the findings in education curricula in Europe and beyond, the project is highly relevant to enhancing the Department’s MSc in Public Policy and Management program.
