The research projects supported by the HUF 12 billion HU-RIZO program were announced on Saturday, in Debrecen: 30 out of 112 applications will receive funding. Corvinus’ research, which examines the transformations caused by artificial intelligence and its fields of application, has also won HUF 370 million (cca. EUR 925.000) for two years from 2025 under the leadership of research professor Péter Baranyi, in cooperation with The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the University of Washington.
Balázs Hankó, Minister for Culture and Innovation highlighted at the press conference that since Brussels excluded Hungarian researchers and universities from the Horizon and Erasmus programmes, HU-RIZO was launched against the Horizon programme, the funding of which was increased to HUF 12 billion from HUF 8 billion due to the large number of applications. The list of supported projects is available on the NRDI Office’s website.
