The event brought together young entrepreneurs, students, mentors and experts to share ideas, experiences and inspiration. The morning programme began with the opening session “Innovation – Strategy – Startups”, delivered by Dr. Éva Habil Pintér, Deputy Director of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Corvinus University of Budapest.
This was followed by presentations by Gábor Dehelán and Viktor Borbély, who spoke about innovation, the correlation between success and failure, and the process of idea modelling and business concept development in the context of the incubation programme of BME GTK and BME FIEK.
László Kiss, business development director of Hellopay Zrt. enriched the event with his experiences in the field of artificial intelligence applications, and startupper Máté Czvitkó, former student of entrepreneurship development at Corvinus University of Budapest and winner of the Proof-of-Concept competition, shared his views on the startup world.
As part of the afternoon programme, the 23 student projects were presented in a workshop, where each team had three minutes to present their projects, followed by an evaluation and discussion with the professional participants. The students’ ideas were professionally evaluated by László Kiss, Gábor Dehelán, Viktor Borbély, Zoltán Ladányi (Hungarian Banking Association), Péter Bagó (Corvinus Department of Innovation and Business Incubation), Mónika Szilva (corporate marketing expert and mentor) and Gergely Mucza (Innovation Manager at MVM SFL).
The event strengthened the startup community’s cohesion and gave new impetus to the implementation of innovative ideas. The students’ ideas are mentored and supported by Éva Pintér and Péter Bagó, who have been participating in the Hungarian Startup University Program for three years now, providing significant experience for startups.
