At the two-day event at Corvinus University of Budapest there will be different positions for trainees, juniors and seniors, from the major Hungarian companies from the banking, consulting, finance, FMCG (daily consumer goods) sectors, including the university’s strategic partners. The event, which will be held at the University’s Fővám Square building, is open not only to job seekers, but also to those who are interested in how to build their careers effectively and are looking for advice and inspiration.
A popular special feature of the Corvinus Career & Business Festival is the Alumni Café: you can book an appointment for a personal chat with dozens of Corvinus graduates who will share their career stories and professional advice in 20 minutes, informally and in an individually tailored way. The panelists include colleagues with 1-2 years of experience and those with decades of work experience, start-up founders and consultants, multinational company managers, hotel managers and NATO diplomats, HR managers and sustainability experts. At the event, jobseekers can try out one of the most challenging recruitment tools for jobseekers, the Assessment Centre, a way of completing job tasks within a supervision of an HR assessment.
“I believe that the job fair is not only a good place to find jobs, but also a good place to meet new professionals. The event is designed to give our graduates all the help they need to enter the job market and to make it easier for anyone interested to expand their network of contacts and develop their career path. The Corvinus Career and Business Expo is a great opportunity for those with an eye for the big picture,” said Dávid Baranyai, Head of Corporate and Institutional Relations at Corvinus.
Ten professional presentations will be given at the event, with this year’s theme being skill up, the importance of acquiring new skills. Tips on how to use the professional social networking site LinkedIn and the benefits of ChatGPT and other apps to prepare for job interviews will be on offer. There will also be a workshop on the psychological factors behind career decisions, and you can take part in CV photography and career advice. Corvinus students can also enter a prize draw to win prizes ranging from travel vouchers to company visits and Corvinus gifts. Corvinus is expecting active students, alumni and external visitors to attend the event, with a total of around 7-8 thousand visitors.
