Tip: if you are unsure as to whether you can succeed at the entrance exam, you should consider taking one of the tests listed above in early 2025. You can then decide whether to use your scores from the test to replace the written exam, depending on your results.
As mentioned before, the test primarily assesses cognitive skills, not prior knowledge, so no specific preparation is required. After enrolling, you will have access to a version of the test guide that includes sample questions.
There is a free preparatory course available to help you prepare for the written entrance exam at Corvinus. The course includes 4 sessions in February (4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th) and covers test strategies and sample exercises. You can attend in-person or online. Read more about the course here.
The main items you should pay attention to in order to guarantee a trouble-free test experience are the following:
☑ Internet connection: make sure you have a stable, broadband internet connection for the whole duration of the test (100 minutes).
☑ Equipment: you must use a desktop or laptop with a working camera connected to it. You are not allowed to use or handle a mobile phone at any time during the test; we recommend you switch it off before you start.
☑ Software: make sure your browser and camera software are updated to their latest versions before beginning the test.
☑ Documentation: you will be asked to upload an official photo ID and take a picture of yourself while onboarding. This is solely for the purpose of verifying your identity.
☑ Applicant ID: you will be required to enter this ID. Make sure you have it ready before beginning the test.
☑ Environment: because of the proctoring tools, you will be required to sit in a well-illuminated and quiet place, making sure there are no interruptions—the system might interpret this as a violation of the security rules.
☑ Full attention to test instructions: in the test session, there are clear instructions on what behavior may be grounds for disqualification. Please follow them fully.
☑ Full attention to section instructions: one of the keys to good performance on the test is carefully reading the instructions for each testing section, so that you know what to answer and how to answer it.
☑ Time management: the 100-minute duration of the test is calculated to give plenty of time to answer all the questions. Nevertheless, we advise you to follow the time suggested for each section at the beginning of it, and keep track of the countdown clock at the top of the screen to make sure you don’t run out of time.
☑ Critical circumstances: The test is a one-time attempt and must be completed in a single sitting. If technical issues arise, contact SkillCert support (support@skillcert.io) immediately.
As mentioned, SkillCert uses proctoring tools. These tools are necessary to balance the convenience of an online test with the need to guarantee the integrity of the test results.
This means your test session will be monitored in several ways and you will be asked to comply with the rules throughout your test session:
☒ Do not use any electronic devices other than the computer you are taking the test on. If you’re taking a test with a Quantitative Reasoning section in it, you will be able to access the testing platform’s integrated calculator, if needed.
☒ Ensure you are in a well-lit room, alone, and refrain from using headphones, earphones, or AirPods. If you require a medically prescribed hearing aid, please submit a copy of your prescription to the admissions office.
☒ Avoid talking during the test. Speaking will be interpreted by test supervisors as a security violation and may result in disqualification.
During the test, automated systems will monitor in real time, issuing alarms or ending the test if any irregularities occur. Afterward, proctors will review the session to determine its validity. Any security violation leads to disqualification from the admission process.
