The latest issue of Budapest Management Review, December 2024

The monthly published Budapest Management Review is one of the most significant journals in the field of business, management, and organizational studies in Hungary, with a history of 55 years, ranked in the best, “A” category by the Hungarian Academy of Science, one star on ABS List 2021.

It is a general management journal, which includes studies on different aspects of organizations: structure, processes, and performance, and equally on cultural, behavioural, and technological subjects. Multidisciplinary research is highly valued and papers that draw on the perspective and theoretical background of sociology, psychology, economics, political science, or communicational studies – apart from that of business, management and organization science are also appreciated. 

Adapting to the habits of our readers and aiming for a more sustainable publishing model, we primarily distribute our journal digitally. The focus of this research is to examine how ethics and ethical issues in business procurement in organisations have changed in recent years as a result of the global economic and supply problems.

This research examines the role of company human capital factors in the export activities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in an international context.

This article reviews and analyses the process of Student Research Conferences (TDK) from the perspective of competence development and student experience, which is illustrated through the opinions of students who participated in economics conferences. 

– Xénia Szanyi-Gyenes  

The aim of this study is to analyse the competitiveness of domestic firms, focusing on the aspect of internationalisation. The aim of the research was to get a complex picture of the operating practices of organisations and managers in Hungary, and their perceptions of the organisation and managers of the future. 

Ádám Csuvár – Gyula Zilahy 

In the following study, the authors examine the corporate aspects of prosumption applying stakeholder theory and business modelling using the case of household energy production as an example.
