New Databases and Changes in Subscriptions

Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) journal package from Taylor and Francis, a key resource for researchers, will be available again from 2023. The full-text e-journal package contains about 2500 journals in the social sciences, humanities and other disciplines. The subscription also includes open access publication fees.

The former MarketLine database is now accessible under the name: GlobalData Explorer (GDX). Not only has its name changed, but also its content has been expanded. Similarly to MarketLine, it contains company and industry profiles, case studies, statistics, reports, up-to-date business news, focusing on all major industries and 120+ sub-sectors. Besides, analytical tools, direct consultation with analysts help researchers to get deep insight.

Discontinued subscriptions

The 2023 library acquisition budget covering the new subcriptions do not allow the Library to keep the full range of formerly available sources.

Cancelled subscriptions from 2023:

The decision about the necessary cancellations were based upon usage statistics, how business critical its content is, replacability with other sources, publishing patterns of the research community, and, the ease of obtaining the content through interlibary loan service.

Some databases might display results temporarily, since switching off a database depends on the service provider’s policy.
