Outstanding Corvinus results at this year’s MEFOB swimming championships

The team of the Corvinus University of Budapest finished in third place with one of the most successful results in recent times.

This year again, Gödöllő hosted this year’s MEFOB swimming championships on 1 December 2024. Corvinus University of Budapest participated with a team of 15 swimmers.    

The university team achieved 1st place in the Institutional 10×50 relay, which has never been achieved in a MEFOB competition. The team members were Luka Kukhashvili, Réka Bakó, Benedek Horváth-Milvicc, Eszter Sarok, Mátyás Revuczky, Ramudi Samarkoon, István Horváth, Karolina Kuti, Maercel Gulyás, Tendo Mukalazi.  

First place in the men’s 4×100 medley relay with István Horváth, Lozer Kaheem, Tendo Mukalazi and Luka Kukhashvili, and in the individual events Sámuel Patyi in the 50 m breaststroke.  

Second place went to Ramudi Samarkoon in the 100m breaststroke and István Horváth in the 100m backstroke.  

Third place went to Tendo Mukalazi in the 50 m freestyle, Marcel Gulyás in the 50 m butterfly, Réka Bakó in the 50 m backstroke and Luka Kukhashvili in the 100 m freestyle.  

Several IV-V-VI (5-6-1) places were achieved by our students, Márton Tóth, Ákos Kárpáti, Benedek Gábor Magó also swam amazingly!
