On September 7, the European Association for Public Administration Accreditation (EAPAA) appointed Professor György Hajnal, Head of the Department of Public Policy at Corvinus University, as the Chair of its Board. Professor Hajnal’s assumption of the chairmanship of EAPAA’s professional steering body coincides with another important organizational change: EAPAA has decided to expand its operations globally, thus establishing itself as the third major (and the second biggest) global player in the field of Public Policy, Public Management, and Public Administration program accreditation.
Historically, EAPAA focused solely on accrediting programs within Europe but has, nonetheless, been responsible for almost all international program accreditations in Europe. This includes accreditation of all Dutch programs as well as nearly all prestigious programs across both Western and Eastern Europe. You can find a comprehensive list of accredited programs here. Currently, the only EAPAA accredited program in Hungary within this field is the Corvinus MSc in Public Policy and Management program.
Wolfgang Drechsler (TalTech University / University College London / Harvard University), outgoing president of EAPAA, who holds the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of Corvinus University, congratulates Professor Hajnal for his appointment at the conclusion of EAPAA’s General Meeting.
