Professor Tamás Solymosi received the Béla Krekó Prize
Tamás Solymosi, Professor of the Institute of Mathematical and Statistical Modelling, was awarded the 2021 Béla Krekó Prize, which is awarded once a year by the Hungarian Society for Economic Modelling in recognition of outstanding and valuable professional work.

The prize was named after Béla Krekó (1915-1994), who taught at the Corvinus predecessor institution, was the founder and head of the University’s computer center, and he also did a lot to renew mathematics education and to create a specialization in economic mathematics in the
1960s. The award was founded by his family and has been awarded annually by the Hungarian Society for Economic Modelling since 2000.
This year’s Krekó Prize was presented to the prize winner by Erzsébet Kovács, professor at Corvinus and president of the Society.
