QS International Trade Ranking 2025: Corvinus Executive MBA Ranked In the World’s Top 20

This year, a Hungarian university has made it onto the International Trade Rankings 2025 compiled by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

As the frontrunner in the Central and Eastern European region, the Corvinus University of Budapest ranked 20th globally and 8th in Europe in the executive MBA category of the QS International Trade Ranking 2025, published in mid-February. The final list was compiled from an initial selection of 30 institutions.

This outstanding achievement is a testament to Corvinus’ commitment to internationalization. Our Executive MBA program stands out for its practice-oriented education, which fosters strategic and critical thinking, its global outlook with a strong focus on the Central and Eastern European region, and its international environment thanks to our students and faculty,

emphasized Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Rector of Corvinus University.

The Executive MBA’ at Corvinus has a huge impact on the participants’ professional careers, driven by an innovative and personalized leadership development process, the strong network of supportive leadership communities, and the dual-degree program with an international partner MSM – Maastricht University, which ensures seamless integration into the global executive community.

This Corvinus Master’s Program Among the Best in the World

QS has also released another ranking evaluating full-time MBA and master’s programs based on international trade education. The list features 87 programs from 30 countries, and for the first time, Corvinus has been included with its International Economy and Business master’s program, ranking 81st globally—the only Hungarian program to make the list.

Being included in this elite ranking is an excellent validation of our program. The strengths of our master’s program lie in its strong methodological foundation, the introduction of personalized learning paths, and its comprehensive global perspective. The program’s international integration is well demonstrated by its nearly two-decade-long double-degree collaboration with University College London’s International Masters in Economy, State and Society program,

said Bruno van Pottelsberghe.

The QS rankings aim to help students find programs that best match their academic and career development goals while assisting employers in recruiting graduates who meet their expectations. The evaluation process in the International Trade Rankings considers six weighted indicators, with 30% of the score based on the quality of the international trade programme content. Other key factors include employer and academic reputation, graduate employment rates and university support, employer connections, research performance, and innovative teaching.

No Hungarian programs had been included in these thematic QS rankings before, making Corvinus the sole Hungarian institution represented this year. In the thematic Executive MBA ranking, the top spot was claimed by the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School, while the list evaluating full-time MBA and master’s programs is led by a master’s program of Arizona State University’s business school.
