A long-awaited event took place at the Faculty Club on 29 September. Over fifty members of Corvinus faculty met after 18 months of Covid restrictions and separation.

The event was designed to provide Corvinus faculty with an informal networking opportunity, to share research results and to identify collaboration opportunities between individuals, institutes and even on an international level. Hungarian and foreign researchers and PhD students were pleased to see the Rector and the Chancellor of Corvinus University as well as the heads of several institutes and other university units among the participants.

Following the Vice-Rector for Research, Gyula Vastag’s welcome speech, guests received information on the topics raised in the registration process. These covered all areas related to research and ranged from the accessibility of software and data bases, through the availability of research support trainings and workshops to open access publishing. During the event participants also had the opportunity enquire about H2020 projects from colleagues of the Horizon Europe Centre.

Research Management wishes to make a tradition of the Research Brunch event. The next networking opportunity is planned for December. Details of the event will be shared with colleagues later in the semester.
