Severe flooding is expected in several regions of Hungary in the coming days. To ensure effective flood protection, it is essential that as many volunteers as possible get involved. Now is your chance to help protect your community!
The main task is to help with the construction of dykes, i.e. you can help prepare and pack sandbags.
The locations are:
Dunakanyar
Budapest
Szigetköz
The work is done in 6-hour shifts. In case you need a certificate due to university obligations, please inform HÖOK and the Ministry of Culture and Innovation will issue a certificate. In return for your volunteer work, you will also receive a Wednesday day pass to the EFOTT festival and volunteer credits from your institution.
Once completed, you will be contacted by the HÖOK for further details.
