The February Research Week was characterized by diversity

Throughout the week, attendees were immersed in a series of engaging activities, providing a platform for the university’s research community to showcase their latest findings, forge new collaborations, and engage in stimulating lectures, discussions, and workshops. 

This edition of the February Research Week embraced diversity, with topics ranging from AI-inspired subjects like research support tools and organizational development to addressing pressing social issues such as the dynamics of demography and retirement, eldercare, tax benefits, and the welfare state. 

A highlight of the event was the insightful workshop by the Corvinus Science Shop, where participants learned about interacting with people with disabilities. Through interactive sessions and group discussions, attendees gained a deeper understanding of how assistance dogs positively impact the lives of their owners, while also fostering meaningful connections with these remarkable animals. 

Numerous programs offered inspiration for future research endeavors, including sessions on the significance of visual data and workshops exploring research introspection and escapism. Moreover, research centers and PhD students from Corvinus Doctoral Schools had opportunities to showcase their work, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas and expertise. 

The European Research Grant Office (ERGO) played a pivotal role, hosting informative forums and roundtable discussions, such as “Unlocking Opportunities: Your Guide to Becoming an EU Evaluator,” where seasoned professionals shared valuable insights and experiences, encouraging aspiring evaluators to pursue EU application opportunities. Presenting numerous alternatives to junior colleagues, the national and international application opportunities of young researchers were also presented. 

The event culminated in a thematic day focused on “Boosting Corvinus Research Visibility Globally,” followed by a networking reception, providing attendees with opportunities to strengthen connections and expand their professional networks. 

With nearly 40 events attracting over 500 attendees, both in-person and online, this edition of the February Research Week was another memorable event. Almost half of the programs were conducted in English, reflecting the institution’s international appeal.
