In the autumn semester 2024/25, the Corvinus Sport Center on the Gellért Campus will be open to all. The majority of physical education classes will be held here from the beginning of the semester (9 September), and the centre will open its doors to the general public during the autumn.
The sports complex, which covers an area of almost 3000 m2, will be operated with the assistance of an external operator. This means that, in addition to the university classes and activities, it will also operate on a market basis. The Sport Centre will offer university citizens and guests a gym with cardio and strength training machines, group classes, indoor and outdoor team sports courts for hire. The bouldering wall will be added to the building in mid-November and is expected to be available for use from then on.
From September, physical education classes will be held here, including football, basketball, TRX training, mobilisation gymnastics, fitness, Pilates, ping pong, jujutsu, trampoline, yoga, volleyball, aerobics, crossfit and running on Gellért Hill.
The climbing wall will be completed by mid-November, so wall climbing will be temporarily off-site during the autumn term, but is planned to be moved to the Sport Centre in the spring. The location of PE lessons will always be listed under the Neptune subject, so it is worth checking this before you start to make sure you are looking for the right place to take lessons.
In addition to the on-campus classes, the Sport Center services will also be available on a market basis with the purchase of an admission ticket/season ticket.
Staff and students of Corvinus University can use the Sport Center by purchasing discounted tickets or season tickets. We will provide information about the exact prices and services before the market opens.
Location and entrance
The entrance of the Corvinus Sport Center is located in the lobby of the main entrance of the Gellért Campus, at Mányoki út 9. The Gellért Campus has several bicycle storage facilities, with parking spaces available at the parking lot next to the main entrance and next to Building K. By bicycle, you can reach the building via Bartók Béla út and Mányoki út.
To gain entry, students will be given a physical token for the semester on their first day of class, which they can use to enter the entrance gate. They will need to bring this token with them to each class. Once they have entered, they will be allowed to stay in the building for a total of 60 minutes before and after the academic course. If this time is exceeded, the operator may charge an entrance fee (except for those who have a Sport Center season ticket or pass).
Sauna and buffet in the Sport Center
In addition to the sports facilities, from the autumn semester onwards, the Sport Center will also have a sauna, which students can use free of charge during their university classes, or by purchasing a sauna ticket.
The reception of the Corvinus Sport Center will also have a buffet from September onwards, with a partial selection, and from November onwards, with a larger selection, in line with the opening hours. The Fresh Corner Café on the ground floor of the Gellért Campus will be open from 8.00 to 16.00 and can be used by anyone during this period.
