Recently the British The OR Society awarded Márton Benedek from the Operational Research and Actuarial Sciences Department for his thesis as the ‘Most Distinguished Body of Research leading to the Award of a Doctorate in the field of OR’.

Márton’s thesis focuses on the computation of one of the most widely spread solution concepts of cooperative game theory, the nucleolus, and introduces the state-of-the-art algorithm to compute the solution.
