Corvinus University’s Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Institute of Data Analytics and Information Systems are organising a workshop and competition in English from 10 to 12 November, in cooperation with the University of Glasgow and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. The aim of the event is to facilitate the development activities of teams working on their business creation plans, and it focuses mostly on market research, the legal environment and the ecosystem. The first prize is participation in a similar event at the University of Glasgow in the spring of 2023. All expenses of the winning team’s trip will be covered by Corvinus University.
All teams are welcome that have completed ideation and are now in the market validation phase, developing their business ideas. At the workshops, lecturers from Corvinus University will provide help to the teams.
Workshops cover the field of business development and provide useful tools to participants to help them develop their landing page or app. Participants will also get an overview of legal aspects and meet several operators in the Budapest start-up ecosystem who may be able to support the new businesses at some point.
The venues are the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Corvinus University, and OTP Lab, where participants can meet András Fischer, Director of Innovation at OTP Bank.
The pitch competition is on Day 3, where members of the jury panel, Dr. Péter Fehér, Vice President for International Relations at Corvinus University, and Dr. Jillian Gordon, Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School, choose the winning team that can travel to Glasgow.
Come if you are interested in entrepreneurship—you can meet university students who are already making their business dreams come true, and you can engage in business idea development. Take your university student friends with you to Corvinus.
