The Zsibongó Card Game Club has reunited in 2024 

Zsibongó – a space previously located in the University’s main building – has been a hub for social life in the 1970s and 1980s; it served as a platform for students to gather for quality time together, which often included intense matches of card games. At times, these matches lasted until sundown – there had been instances of students having to sneak out through the window after the building had been closed for the day. These are the memories that have been celebrated on the 5th of April 2024, when over 40 graduates of the late 70s and early 80s returned to the building to catch up with old friends. This intimate event was a testimony to the fact that memories made during one’s university years and the valuable relationships forged there are not forgotten with the passage of time.  We would like to thank István Varga, our esteemed alum from the class of 1979 for his enthusiastic efforts to bring this community together yet again!
