This year, too, the CFA Research Challenge brought double Corvinus success

On January 29, 2021, the Hungarian Association of Investment Experts (CFA Hungary) organized the Hungarian round of global stock analysis competition in the English-language, the CFA Research Challenge.

 
The seven teams taking part in this year’s competition had to prepare a written analysis of Alteo Plc.’s stock, and then the top three teams were able to convince the jury of renowned Hungarian experts in a 10-minute presentation. As in the previous year, this year’s Corvinus team of two, five each took first and second place, while the third place went to the CEU team.

The members of the winning team (Anna Hári Teréz, Barbara Fanni Molnár, Marcell Balázs, Balázs Benedek Fejes and Zalán Gaál) will represent Hungary at the March regional round of the American CFA Institute. The second place team consisted of Olga Gulina, Government Cintia, Huseyn Gasimov, Turgay Huseynli and Elnur Namazov.

The preparatory teacher of both teams was Péter Juhász, habilitated associate professor of the Department of Investments and Corporate Finance.
