New realities in the global economy, such as the slowdown in globalisation, the rise of economic nationalism, the emergence of digital technologies, the focus on sustainability and climate issues, combined with the uncertain business environment caused by Covid and the war in Ukraine, are causing significant pressure for multinational companies to adapt. This raises a number of new research questions for scholars in the field of international business – it was said at the Xth Annual Conference of the Central and Eastern European Chapter of the Academy of International Business (AIB CEE), organized by Corvinus University of Budapest.
Miklós Stocker, head of the Institute of Strategy and Management at Corvinus and one of the organizers of the conference, who was also elected one of the vice-presidents of AIB CEE, gave an interview to the newspaper at the event. In that, he emphasized:
A great advantage of scientific communities like AIB is that extensive collaborations are established between scientists participating in the network, which can result in international research, tenders and joint publications. I got to know many of my fellow authors in this scientific community.
