Teams from the most prestigious business schools around the globe participated in the event. Students traveled from as far as Hong Kong and Sydney to solve two real-world business cases within 5 and 24 hours. The trophies were claimed by teams from Queen’s University, Maastricht University, the University of Technology Sydney, and the City University of Hong Kong.

The 16 participating teams tackled two authentic business challenges: a 5-hour case centered on strategic issues faced by Lime’s Hungarian mobility operations and a 24-hour case based on a current scenario presented by Wizz Air airline.

Participants were primarily final-year undergraduate business students aiming for their first degree. While no Hungarian team reached the finals, the competition provided valuable experience. Dénes Hermann, a third-year International Business student at Corvinus, shared his thoughts on the experience:

“We received the 24-hour case at 9 AM and worked on it until 9 AM the next day. We slept for about 3–4 hours because it was intense work, but the process and the presentation were incredibly enjoyable, leaving us with unforgettable memories.”

He added that the competition also fostered international connections and friendships while offering insight into how students from top universities approach problem-solving.

“Every company dreams of having talented students participate in their case competitions. However, participation is often low, and solutions aren’t always given much attention. Corvinus University, on the other hand, has decades of tradition and expertise in teaching through complex business cases. Our students practice solving cases over several semesters, understanding the critical importance of honing this skill.”

– explained Miklós Kozma, Academic Director of the competition and a faculty member at Corvinus.
